Parish President Issues Emergency Declaration In Response to TS Cindy

Parish President Gordon E. Dove has issued an emergency declaration, as a preemptive measure in response to Tropical Storm Cindy and the imminent threat of flooding, torrential rain, and tropical force winds which may affect the people and property in Terrebonne Parish. The intended purpose of the declaration, at this time, is primarily precautionary, as it assists in the expedited marshaling of resources needed to respond to this tropical weather event.
The provisions of Section 12.1 of the personnel manual are not to be invoked as a result of this administrative action, UNLESS, conditions warrant, and specifically approved in writing by the Parish President.
