The Volunteers of America have set up a claims office in the Terrebonne Parish Government Tower building to help individuals affected by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The service is free. If you are a waitress, cook, deckhand, or processing plant worker - or other - and have experienced a loss of wages, hours, or even lost your job, the VOA may be able to help you with the claims process to BP. Call 985-868-8900 to schedule an appointment. You may come into the office or a VOA representative will come to you. To see a flyer about the claims assistance, click here.
