Terrebonne Parish-- (Western Portion – North of the GIWW)
Number of outages as of 4 p.m 9/27 :
  • total parish outages - 312
Percentage of damage assessments complete: 100%
  • # of broken poles – 882
  • Spans of wire down – 748
  • # of damaged transformers – 221
All feeders have been assessed and inspected.
Accomplishments/Big wins – More crews available to assist with recovery efforts
Challenges – Significant amount of individual transformer cases have been identified as the larger lines have been energized. Material shortages are challenges that we are facing.
 
What are working today 9/28 –
Crews continue to work on individual transformer tickets and taps throughout the network.
Crews continue to work trouble tickets and change broken poles
Additional resources (manpower and equipment) allowed for significant focus on commercial customer restoration

Continuing to work in all areas mentioned above with a focus on taps throughout the network
Estimated restoration for the Parish: 9/29 – The majority of the main distribution lines in the area have been repaired and a significant number of customers restored.
Status of critical customers (hospitals, etc.) and expected ETR – All critical customers should be restored.
Area Notes: (Ex: Poles Down, Road washed out, etc.): Customers are encouraged to check their breakers if they see that their neighbors have power and they still do not.
 
Terrebonne Parish (Eastern Portion south of the GIWW)
Number of outages as of 4 p.m 9/27:
  • total parish outages - 312
Percentage of damage assessments complete: 100%
  • # of broken poles – 2,742
  • Spans of wire down – 3,093
  • # of damaged transformers – 964
All feeders have been assessed and inspected
Accomplishments/Big wins – More crews available to assist with recovery efforts
Challenges – Continued need for traffic control, materials, and specialized equipment to assist with areas with accessibility issues. As we move south, we move more into a rebuild status.
 
What are we working today –
In the Houma Substation area, we have energized the main distribution lines and are continuing to make repairs to laterals and taps. We have completed most of repairs to laterals and taps out of Houma Substation area. Work on individual transformer cases will continue. Extensive work continues in the Chauvin and Montegut substation areas including Hwys. 55, 56, and 58.

What are we working on today?
Individual transformer cases and Montegut and Chauvin backbones and feeders. Crews continue to work miscellaneous trouble tickets and requests.

Area Notes: (Ex: Poles Down, Road washed out, etc.): There are many customers whose homes or businesses have been destroyed and will need to reach out to Entergy to final their accounts until their home or business site can be cleaned up and rebuilt. Customers are encouraged to check their breakers if they see that their neighbors have power and they still do not.
