A message from Parish President Gordon Dove:
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
It's been 2 weeks today that Hurricane Ida passed through Terrebonne creating devastating damage throughout our parish. Power is being restored to thousands of homes daily, and water has been restored to about 90% of Terrebonne. We have made significant strides over the last two weeks, but we still have a long way to go.
I would like to thank all of our government employees, police officers, fire fighters and all other first responders that have been there for us! They have been putting in tireless hours of work on our behalf and away from their own families to get our parish back up and running. THEY ARE OUR TRUE HEROES!!!
Hurricane Ida has brought out the best in our citizens of Terrebonne. All around our parish, we have communities coming together to help one another. I am proud to live in Terrebonne. The people of Terrebonne are resilient. Together, we will build back BIGGER, BETTER, and STRONGER!
WE ARE TERREBONNE STRONG!
God Bless Terrebonne, Louisiana, and the USA!
