TPLS Reinstates Curbside Pickup Starting Monday, May 4

04/29/2020 11:25 AM

Terrebonne Parish Library System will reinstate curbside services beginning Monday, May 4, 2020.

Main, East Houma, and North Branch will be open for curbside 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Bayou branch hours will be limited. Patrons must call ahead of time to request items so that staff can prepare materials for pickup.

Only books, DVDs, books-on-tape, and magazines will be circulating. No other services, including computer use, meetings rooms, and programs, will be available during this time. Customers are to use the book drops to return items. Designated boxes will also be kept at the entrance of library facilities for returns. Items are being sanitized when returned. The library is not accepting book donations at this time.

TPL also offers many e-services to cardholders that can be accessed from home. This includes eBooks, online magazines, streaming services, and various databases such as Homework Louisiana, Learning Express, and World Book Online. The library is offering online registration at mytpl.org for patrons who do not currently have a TPL library card.

The reference department at the Main Branch will be taking telephone calls for patrons who need assistance, as well as providing a live chat through the library’s website. The chat window and contact numbers for each branch can be found at mytpl.org.
