From the Office of Parish President Gordon Dove:

Date: March 20, 2020
Re: No Plans to Close Businesses in Terrebonne Parish

In an effort to dispel rumors, I want to advise business owners that there are no plans to close any business in Terrebonne Parish except for the businesses affected by the executive order from Governor Jon Bel Edwards that are currently closed which includes all bars, restaurants, gyms, health clubs and bowling alleys. No curfew has been established in Terrebonne Parish. Business owners are being allowed to operate and remain open at their discretion, this includes but not limited to banks, gas stations, supermarkets and pharmacies.

Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government is continuing to operate with normal business operations and hours, however restrictions for visitors are in place at all Terrebonne Parish Government building.

The coronavirus issue is an event that is changing daily if not hourly. I am implementing measures to ensure the safety of Parish employees and the residents of this Parish. We will have to experience a little inconvenience and think of solutions that we are not accustomed to. If you are experiencing the symptoms of coronavirus or any other illness, we ask that you see your primary physician and limit your exposure to others by staying home. Please stay safe, practice good hygiene and social distancing.
