Revised Public Meeting Notice: Entry Protocol Announced for Council Meeting on March 25

The Terrebonne Parish Council will not hold Committee Meetings on Monday, March 23, 2020, in order to limit the amount of meetings. All significant items are being placed on the Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.

Based upon the declaration of Public Health Emergency, Parish President Gordon E. Dove has declared a State of Emergency within Terrebonne Parish. He has ordered the following protocol for any person attending the Public Council Meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, in the TPCG Council Meeting Room.

All attendees will be required to fill out the following questionnaire prior to entering the building. Any person who refuses to comply with the protocol established will be denied admission. The purpose of the protocol is to minimize the risks and threat of the pandemic COVID-19.

If you answer "yes" to any of the questions, your access to the building may be restricted.

  • Have you had any recent foreign travel? If yes, where?
  • Have you experienced fever and symptoms of lower respiratory illness (e.g., cough and/or shortness of breath) in the last 14 days?
  • Have you been in the vicinity of a person with possible COVID-19 infection?
  • Have you been in close contact with a laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 patient?

Individuals will also be subject to a forehead temperature check prior to entering the meeting room.

Individuals wishing to address the Council must fill out a speaker card prior to entering the building and are subject to the aforementioned access requirements. The item must be on the agenda. 

The Council is working to have this meeting live-streamed for the public to view. It will keep the public informed if the Wednesday March 25, 2020, Council Meeting has to be handled in a different manner or is cancelled due to the health, safety, and welfare of individuals attending the meeting.
