The Good Earth Market Scheduled for April 18 Has Been Postponed

Due to the growing concern of COVID-19, the Good Earth Market has been postponed. The rescheduled dates will be posted as soon as they are announced. 

The Wetlands Discovery Center will host the Good Earth Market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2020, in the Terrebonne Parish Main Branch Library parking lot, 151 Library Drive, Houma. 

The Good Earth Market is a celebration for garden enthusiasts with booth spaces available to vendors from all aspects of the gardening and farming industry. Vendors will sell native plants, vegetables, ornamental plants, fresh eggs, jams, jellies, baked goods, and homemade soaps.

The annual market also includes educational workshops. This year's workshops include:

  • 10 a.m. - The Art of Beekeeping
  • 10:30 a.m. - Wild Herbs Indigenous to Louisiana
  • 11 a.m. - Designing with Native Plant Species
  • 11:30 a.m. - Hydroponic Gardening
