Updates on Power Outages from Tropical Storm Barry

Power outage updates as of Monday, July 15, 2019:

Entergy
Entergy’s plan is to have 85% of the parish restored by end of day. Since the 9 p.m. customer outage report last night, Entergy had 2,000 more customer outages, bringing the outage count this morning to just over 8,000. Crews are currently trying to identify what happened overnight and why the spike in outages. The customer information center opened at Ellender Memorial High School at 8:00 a.m. today.

SLECA
SLECA has restored all outages in Terrebonne Parish except for:

  • 229 Lake Decade for safety reasons and potential high water
  • 208 Four Point for flooding

TPCG Utility Customers
As of 8 a.m., TPCG has approximately 150 customers without power. TPCG will be working in the South French Quarter/Alma street area rebuilding the line for the next few days. The Vieux Carre apartment complex should be energized this morning.
 

As of 2 p.m. yesterday, the Terrebonne Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Emergency Operations Center has deactivated its incident command center.
