Parish Provides Sand and Sand Bags Monday, Sept 3, at Various Locations

Please be advised that I have instructed Terrebonne Parish Public Works Division to begin providing self-serve sand and bags to the public at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning (Monday, September 3).  The following locations are planned to be opened on Monday, September 3, 2018 no later than 5:00 p.m. as self-serve sandbag locations: (Please remember to bring your shovel.)

• Cannata's West - 6307 West Park Ave. Houma, LA
• Airbase Softball Complex - 9544 East Main St. Houma, LA
• West Terrebonne Fire - 110 Merry Moss.  Gibson, LA
• St. Ann Church - 4355 Highway 24 Bourg, LA
• Ward 7 - 5006 Highway 56 Chauvin, LA
• Bayou Black Fire Station - 2820 Savanne Rd Houma, LA
• Mechanicville Gym - 2814 Senator St Houma, LA
• Upper Dularge Fire Station - 1767 Bayou Dularge Houma, LA
• Pointe-Aux-Chene Knights of Columbus Hall - 1558 Highway 655 Point-Aux-Chene, LA
• Montegut Fire Department - 1105 La. Highway 55, Montegut (additional location)
• Gibson East Fire - 5218 N. Bayou Black Rd. Gibson, LA
• Bobtown Vol. Fire Station - 4717 Grand Caillou Rd. Houma, LA
• Village East Fire - 100 Development St Houma, LA
• TPCG Barn (Next to Shannon Hardware) - 1860 Grand Caillou, Houma, LA (Pre-filled bags for elderly and handicap persons)

Please be advised that these deliveries will be completed as quickly as possible and all deliveries should be completed by 5:00 p.m. tomorrow. The sand will be replenished on an as needed basis.   Also with the anticipated rain fall amounts, please take a moment and clean/clear any and all drains around your area. This will go a long way in allowing the water to drain properly.

Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government and  all its  departments, HPD, parish affiliates and contactors as well as all parish agencies are more than ready for this tropical weather system.  Please be prepared and on alert. We will be sending out updates and info accordingly.
